Guylaine Laperriere

Guylaine Laperrière has been working in the field of education and language for over 15 years.  She is a graduate of the Université de Montréal (Education) and Université du Québec à Montréal (Fine Arts).

A native of Montréal, Ms. Laperrière is well versed in the concepts of multiculturalism, which are fundamental to the Canadian experience, and which have made diversity the touchstone of her work.

Early in her career, Guylaine worked as Manager of Quality Assurance for all French-Canadian projects at a major global translation agency, with worldwide offices and staff from all cultures.

She then took the position of coordinator of the Translation Studies and Court/Medical Interpreting Program at New York University, a curriculum which attracted students and instructors from all ethnic backgrounds and all walks of life. 

In 2004, she became the President of the New York Circle of Translators, a group of over 350 professional translators and interpreters, again from every corner of the globe.

A translator and actor in French, Guylaine has helped produce several corporate videos, language training programs and interactive voice response systems. Most recently, she has developed and presented her two-hour workshop on foreign language translation at the Entertainment Industry Seminar organized by the American Translators Association.

Guylaine is also responsible for the translation of Stephen Young's MicroInequities: The Power of Small™ seminar, specifically for the French-Canadian market. Her efforts in this regard have made her one of the most popular of Insight Education Systems' certified presenters for MicroInequities.
